Adding New Pages
Today we added a page for books/book discussing and maps, geography and geology. More subject headings will come as they are discovered and suggested. Please feel free to leave comments on any and all content you find here, this blog is intended as a crossroads for all travelers fascinated with the Southwest and New Mexico in particular.
You may also discover that, as the blog grows, the photo slideshow will be re-located to a static position so you don't have to scroll down through all the subsequent posts to find the images. Ah design...

Esa Acequia
Our travels in New Mexico brought us many spectacular encounters with people and landscapes, history, culture and art, every moment alive with light and color. The serendipity of our casita at El Meson de la Centenelia in Chimayo; the dynamic of Jan Hart's watercolor classes in the vibrant Espanola Valley Fiber Arts Center; the awe striking landscape everywhere from Plaza Blanca to Bandelier. Old friends were dearly embraced, new friends welcomed, stories and recipes exchanged. Each day insisted that we open our hearts and eyes and learn this place and its people, New Mexico's past present and future, bloody, beautiful, radiant, insistent, “Well! Well! Well! This is wonderful. No one told me it was like this.”
We offer this blog to share what we learned with our friends, and to learn from our friends what we share, for now and the next time around and beyond. Mil Graciás.
